Transgaming a sorti aujourd'hui une nouvelle version de WineX, compatible DirecX 9.0, rebaptisée pour l'occasion Cedega. Au menu des titres nouvellement supportés : Battlefield Vietnam, Starwars Galaxies, Painkiller ou encore Far Cry.

      Ca fait des dégâts parmi les utilisateurs de Windows qui peuvent enfin passer complètement sous Linux :)

        J'ai un gros doute, si ça correspond ne serait-ce que de loin au CVS actuel on peut dire que non ils ne peuvent pas enfin passer complétement sous linux. :/

        Des jeux DX6 ne passant pas, des jeux prétendument supportés qui font peine à voir,...

      J'aimerais bcp un retour critique sur DAOC sous linux.
      J'avais essayé la version 3 et le lag important lorsque il y a 10 joueurs daffichés m'avait renoncé a l'idée dy jouer sous linux.

    il m'arrive d'avoir très envie de jouer à des jeux récents qui biensûr ne sont que sous Windows (merci mais Tuxracer ne m'amuse pas plus de 5min =)

    J'ai donc tenté le CVS de wineX... alors ça compile mais ça merde quand on le lance.... Et même quand ça se lance, ça merde (genre l'installateur se bloque ou encore des erreurs inconnues)... J'ai tenté plusieurs jeux (jedi academy, jedi knight 2, ...) et toujours rien.

    Est ce que j'ai simplement pas de chance ou alors est ce qu'il faut réunir plein de conditions (alignement des planètes par ex), égorger un poulet avec une petit cuiller pour que ça marche?

      Avec une carte nVidia, ça marche plutôt pas mal. Dans ma résidence, mes potes équippés de GeForce Ti4200 peuvent jouer tranquillement sous Linux à Warcraft III et Battlefield 1942, comme sous Windows. Avec ma Radeon 9800 pro, il faut que je fasse attention à la résolution du jeu (BF42 se lance seulement en 800x600 32bit) et j'ai quelques bugs graphiques mineurs (textures qui clignotent un peu près des côtes), mais c'est du aux drivers foireux.

      simplement, prendre plus de 5minutes pour le faire tourner

      WineHQ c'est gros, c'est même très gros
      WineX c'est toujours aussi gros, et ça se configure pas en 5minutes.

      Le CVS c'est du Wine bricolé, mais le paquetage réservé aux abonnés ou à Jean-Kevin le l33t h4xx0r terroriste du p2p contient des binaires propriétaires apportant la fameuse 'compatibilité' DirectX. Et aussi un support pour InstallShield et les protections CD.

    Ce n'est pas la boite qui a forké wine en promettant de reverser du code dedans et qui n'a rien fait encore depuis des années?
